This 21 year old Scotch was created by a deceptively simple process. Once it spent over 20 long years in traditional oak casks, it was finished by being transferred into aged Port pipes. The Balvenie Malt Master then repeatedly sampled the Scotch until it had received the right amount of characteristics from the Port wine pipes.
There is a light nutty and fruity scent that is intertwined with a slightly earthy undertone. The initial flavor of musty woods carries hints of red fruit and dry nuttiness. There is a balancing note of spice that balances these flavors through the delicate lingering finish.
Bottled at 43% ABV - 86 Proof
