Straight Rye Whiskey has experienced a strong resurgence in the American whiskey landscape, yet Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. was making this style more than 100 years ago. This small batch, Bottled-in-Bond 100 proof straight rye whiskey pays tribute to the former Distillery owner with a unique rye whiskey reminiscent of days long past.
This mahogany colored liquid carries the warming scents of oak, fresh cracked pepper and barrel spices. The hints of rye spice, dark fruits and cinnamon swoop in toward the end, rounding out the nose. The first sip brings you a creamy mouthfeel that's full of rye spice, subtle pepper, citrus, and stone fruits. The finish is complex and light, full of that rye spice, more stone fruits and a vanilla honey sweetness.
Bottled-In-Bond at 50% ABV - 100 Proof
